Tell Ecology: Deny the permit for the Kalama Methanol Refinery

Earlier this month, Cowlitz County issued the required shorelines permit for the world’s largest fracked gas-to-methanol refinery, proposed in Kalama, WA. Now, the Washington Department of Ecology has 30 days to approve or deny the massive refinery.

The Kalama Methanol Refinery would would use more gas than all of Washington’s gas fired power plants combined and would become the state’s single largest source of carbon pollution.

Tell Dept. of Ecology: Deny the Shorelines Permit for the Kalama Methanol Refinery.

Hello, my name is _____ and I live in ______.

I am calling to urge Senator Patty Murray to lead the fight against Trump’s disastrous environmental budget in the Senate Appropriations Committee.

The budget bill cuts funding that Washington State needs to clean up thousands of toxic sites, protect our beautiful environment, and ensure that our air and water are clean and safe for our families.

Senator Murray has been a reliable champion for the environment, and we need her leadership now more than ever to keep our communities safe and healthy.
