On January 16th, the State Supreme Court gave the legislature a clear message – to tackle the climate crisis, the state needs additional authority under the Clean Air Act. In response, Senator Reuven Carlyle and Representative Joe Fitzgibbon introduced an update to our state’s foundational air law. This policy, the Clean Air Act Authority bill (HB 2892/SB 6628), would provide a critical tool for the state to address our longstanding climate crisis.
Please contact your legislators NOW and urge them to vote yes on the Clean Air Act Authority bill.
