Thank Attorney General Ferguson for standing up to Trump & Pruitt

Attorney General Bob Ferguson has joined a federal lawsuit demanding that Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt complete a scientific safety review of the neurotoxic pesticide chlorpyrifos which is used extensively on farms and orchards in Washington state even though it was banned in most household products.

Pruitt abruptly halted a review already underway earlier this year. In the motion, Ferguson and four other states argue that by stopping the safety review, the EPA is allowing the use of chlorpyrifos to continue without determining that the pesticide is safe.

Please take a moment to sign on to our letter to thank Attorney General Ferguson for his leadership.

Dear Attorney General Bob Ferguson,

We applaud your most recent action to join a federal lawsuit demanding that Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt complete a scientific safety review of the neurotoxic pesticide chlorpyrifos which is used extensively on farms and orchards in Washington state even though it was banned in most household products.

By stopping the safety review, the EPA is allowing the use of chlorpyrifos to continue without determining that the pesticide is safe for farm workers, children and waterways.

Thank you for your continued leadership in standing strong against the Trump Administration’s efforts to halt, roll back, and weaken key safeguards to protect the health and well-being of all Washingtonians and our environment.
